Bullingdon healthy prison scores (Back to top)

What we found (Back to top)
Inadequate security meant that illicit drugs were getting into the prison, driving debt and violence. Prisoners spent too much time locked up, relationships between staff and prisoners were not good enough, and there were weaknesses in the management of men who posed risks to the public. Outstanding issues with health care that affected patient safety had not been addressed.
Points to note: There were problems across education, training and work provision, including a curriculum that was not meeting prisoners’ needs, the quality of teaching, and prisoner attendance.
